Rob Hogg was elected to his second term in the Iowa Senate in 2010. He previously served two terms in the Iowa House. He represents portions of Cedar Rapids.
Senator Hogg is the chair of the Judiciary Committee and vice-chair of the Justice Systems Budget Subcommittee. He also serves on the Appropriations, Education, Natural Resources & Environment, and Ways & Means committees.
Active in the Cedar Rapids community, Rob is a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Indian Creek Nature Center.
Rob is originally from Iowa City and attended the University of Iowa, where he earned a degree in history in 1988. He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota.
Rob is an attorney with Elderkin & Pirnie in Cedar Rapids. He and his wife, Kate, have three children.
